Plot:
Ganapath: Birth of a Hero is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language post-apocalyptic dystopian sports action film written and directed by Vikas Bahal in collaboration with Jackie Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, and Deepshika Deshmukh. We also produce movies. The film stars Tiger Shroff in a dual role as a doppelganger alongside Kriti Sanon and Amitabh Bachchan (in a cameo). The film was announced in his November 2020 and went through a long and intensive pre-production phase. Principal photography began in November 2021 and concluded in February 2023 with filming in the UK, Ladakh, and Mumbai. Ganapath's budget is said to be 150 million rupees. The film was released in theaters on October 20, 2023, but was panned by critics. The film was a huge hit, grossing 13.38 billion yen at the box office.
Story:
In the dystopian year 2070, the world is divided by a giant wall in the aftermath of a devastating war. On the one hand, the wealthy elite live in the silver city under the leadership of the mysterious Dharini, and on the other, the struggle of the poor for basic necessities. Guddu, a resident of Silver City, unwittingly becomes a pawn in Dharini's plan, recruiting fighters from the poorer side for a ruthless wrestling match.
His life takes a turn for the worse when he is falsely accused of infidelity, and a dangerous encounter ends up burying him alive. Guddu is rescued by his friend Kaizad and instructed to track down Shiva, a mysterious figure with unparalleled fighting ability. As Guddu embraces his newfound identity as Ganapath, he realizes that Shiva is not just a mentor, but the legendary savior Ganapath. United by a common purpose, Ganapath and his allies, including the feared Jassi, rise up against Dalini's oppressive regime.
They mobilize the oppressed and spark a rebellion that spreads beyond the walls of Silver City. A decisive battle is taking place in the very places where exploitation once reigned. Ganapath confronts Dharini's defenders and symbolizes the fight for justice and equality. Silver City experiences tectonic shifts as disagreements grow, culminating in a final showdown between Ganapas and Dalini himself. After Dalini is defeated, the wall collapses and a new era begins. Ganapas emerges as a beacon of hope that helps rebuild a society that values compassion over cruelty. His journey from unwitting accomplice to savior of the oppressed is the stuff of legend.
