In 2006, during the police selection in Rajahmundry, Arjun Kalyan's father Venkat Ratnam,  who was a police officer at the time, was a candidate  to be included in the list of selected candidates on the recommendation of MP Kantam Baireddy. Later, Home Minister Kantam Vireddy contacted Arjun Kalyan to negotiate. Arjun Kalyan offered Bai Reddy to cooperate in the IT raid that Arjun Kalyan was planning to help him lose his job. Vireddy then hires Arjun Kalyan to kill a man who has escaped from  custody, claiming that he is a criminal. Mr. Bairedi ordered a meeting, which Mr. Kalyan accepted, and as a result the man died. 

During the incident, Kalyan's father jumped in and saved the man from Kalyan's bullets, but despite his efforts, the man was hit by a truck and died. Arjun Kalyan's father fell into a coma due to the psychological trauma he suffered while being discharged from the hospital. Viredi tells Arjun Kalyan that he was not officially appointed as a police officer due to a clerical error and the post scheduled for Arjun was given to someone else. 

Arjun Kalyan is determined to take revenge on Bailady and become a real cop. He asks Bailady to do police work but is ignored. Arjun Kalyan has warned the DGP, who serves the home minister, that if  news of fake appointment letters leaks, it will bring the police into disrepute. He was later informed by his father that the man who had escaped from Bairedi custody was among 3,000 people selected by the police, but his name was not included in the final list. Ru.
