Despite not being able to spend time with his family in Delhi due to his busy schedule, Rannvijay “Vijay” Singh’s love for his wealthy businessman father Balbir Singh is extraordinary. Balbir runs Swastik Steels, a major steel company. When Vijay threatened his sister Reet's bullies with an AK-47, he pushed him to a boarding school in the United States. Vijay completes his education and returns home for the first time in many years.
He gets into an argument with Reet's husband Varun, and Balbir ends up banishing him from the household again. Vijay marries his childhood sweetheart Geetanjali and the couple moves away from their family to America. Eight years later, as Vijay, Geetanjali and their two children were flying back to India, Balbir was shot dead by an assassin. He seeks support from his cousins in the village and recruits a doppelgänger for his father, but his father is eventually killed by the assassin Asrar Haq. Vijay discovers Varun's role in the assassination plot and assassinates him publicly at a meeting also attended by Asrar. Later, Vijay meets an arms dealer at a hotel that has been raided by hundreds of assailants led by Asurar. Vijay defeats everyone and kills Asrar, but is seriously injured and becomes bedridden for two weeks.
He recovers within two weeks, but his heart is weakened and he undergoes a heart transplant. After a few months, Vijay recovers and is contacted by his heart donor's fiancée, Zoya. Vijay starts having an affair with Zoya. Zoya reveals that she was sent by Asrar's brother Abrar Haq to lure him into a trap. However, Vijay has known this for a long time and he did it to find out the identity of the mastermind. He lets Zoya go and finds out from his grandfather Rajdya Singh that Abrar and his brother are also Vijay's cousins. They are the grandchildren of Rajdia's younger brother Shamsher. Years later, Shamsher's son Azim, who converted to Islam, was denied a share in Balbir's fortune, leading Shamsher to commit suicide. Abrar, who witnessed his grandfather's suicide, became mute from the trauma. Abrar moved to Scotland and hatched a plot against Balbir for revenge for his family. Vijay and his cousins travel to Scotland to stop Abrar from fleeing the country on a private jet with his other brother Avid. A fierce duel ensues on the catwalk, ending with Vijay killing Abrar. During Diwali at his home, Balbir reveals to Vijay his terminal illness and realizes that lack of love for her son has always been the root cause of Vijay's aggression. Finally, Balbir apologizes to Vijay and the two reconcile. However, Geetanjali decides to leave him, but it is not clear whether his son Abhay will remain with him. In a post-credits scene, Aziz, the youngest of the Huq brothers and notorious Istanbul assassin, undergoes plastic surgery to resemble Vijay. Zoya is also with them and seems to be pregnant, but it is unclear whether the child is Aziz or Vijay. Aziz and Abid set out to avenge the deaths of his two brothers.
