Valmiki and Randeep start their career as employees of Aditya Jindal. Randeep, who marries Jindal's daughter Yashoda "Yash", becomes rich, but Valmiki remains poor. On the day the two children were born, Randeep's son apparently died. When the nurse Sulochana informs Valmiki about this, he feels sorry for Randeep and says that since the Jindal family had done so much for him, he would exchange his baby for a dead man.

Randeep watches the transaction from the restaurant where Samara is holding a meeting. When a client misbehaves with Samara, Bantu intervenes. Randeep is disappointed that Raj can't say no to Saran, but smiles at Bantu and Samara who fight back against the rowdy client. Later, Raj gets engaged to Samara, but she and Bantu fall in love. Saran tries to kill Randeep as he is in his way. Bantu saves Randeep. At the hospital he meets Sulochana who wakes up from a coma. She reveals Bantu's true parentage before her death. Bantu calls Valmiki his father. Aditya Jindal, Bantu's biological grandfather, is happy with Bantu's saving Randeep and hires him. Bantu begins to address the problems at home by repairing Randeep and Yash's relationship, which had been strained since Randeep's incident seven years ago. He also resolves the conflict with Saran and reforms corrupt family members Kailash and Arun. He and Samara tell Raj about their relationship.
Raj calls off his marriage to Samara and tells her that she should be able to make her own decisions instead of having her parents do everything for her. Saran kidnaps Yash and threatens to kill him if Randeep does not give him the money. Bantu saves Yash. Jindal reveals that he knew who Bantu was all along and he brought him home. He had heard the conversation between Sulochana and Bantu just before his death. Bantu forms an alliance with Randeep, but she does not reveal her truth to Yash as she fears that he might be disappointed if she learns that Raj,
